"Tsunami" Painting Inspired by the book, "A Tale For The Time Being"

I love creating a piece of art inspired by a theme, it's a fun way to get the creative juices flowing and explore new techniques. I entered a painting in the juried exhibit at our local library here in downtown Bend for a show inspired by the book, "A Tale For The Time Being" by Ruth Ozeki. The show was being curated and juried by the Friends of Art for the Public Library as part of their "Novel Idea" series. My piece, "Tsunami" was chosen to be included in a slide show during Ms. Ozeki's guest lecture at Bend High School discussing the book. The show will be up at the public library in downtown Bend February 2015 - May 2015.
